On most residential work, yes. We'll come walk the property, look at the trees you're concerned about, and give you a written estimate with photos. For complex risk assessments or full property inventories, we charge a flat consulting fee that's credited toward any work you decide to schedule.
Cleanup is built into every job. We rake, blow, and haul — large logs can be left bucked if you want firewood, and chips are either hauled away or spread on-site at no extra cost. Lawns get tarped before we climb.
We use them somewhat interchangeably, but technically pruning is the broader practice — making cuts that benefit the tree's structure, health, or longevity. Trimming usually refers to shaping for clearance or aesthetics. Either way, we follow ANSI A300 standards and we don't top trees, ever.
